NITRO 17 just released their juice 9 piece of Powerpop mixed with influences of Collegepunk, Ska, Rockabilly and even some Stoner Rock, like nothing you heard before. 2 of the Songs on this selftitled mini Album are produced by the great Moses Schneider(Beatsteaks, Tocotronic etc.) This long awaitet debut platter, out on Built for Speed, allready got them some rave revieus all over the place and 2007 sure will see allotta liveshows to back up the high expetations now conected with the band. The whole thing lifted off the ground in late 2004 with singer Jo Fisher, Ralf Summers, who worked for years before with international famed Rockabilly Outfit Spo-dee-o-dee, on Double Bass, Stephan Doucerain, who beat the Skins for Nikki Sudden (till he passed away) and their first Guitarplayer Boris Kontorowski, who soon took an offer to go on the road with The Boss Hoss. He was then replaced by one of germanys real Guitar Heroes Mr. Tex Morton, who just quit Mad Sin, Lolitas, Viktoriapark (and many more...). With this talent all thrown in on pot and the more than uncommon instrumentation, the guys were ready to follow there vision to try something completly new soundwise. At first very much influenced by The Living End and their own roots, they soon found out their very own style. After 2 demos the got in touch with Moses Schneider, who produced no less than 12 songs with the band (of wich 2 can be heard on the album) for later use, wich got NITRO 17 the chance to play more and more shows, even opend up for the Leningrad Cowboys, as well as playin shows in Belgium and Switzerland. So now with the new record and an even further advanced style + allott of shows lined up front things are looking pretty cool for NITRO 17 in 2017...oops sorry...200
