Swingabilly chartbusters is an ambitiously titled compilation of various bands mixing Rockabilly, Swing and Psychobilly from all over the world. There are some interesting covers here! Swing versions of known and unknown punk and heavy metalsongs. With songs of Misfits, Ramones, Nirvana, Talking Heads, Undertones and Cocksparrer, 22 bands do their swing versions of the songs. Best is the groups Bricats with their Misfits song 'Last Caress', really far away from the original. The New Morty Show with their Billy Idol song(s) is also a good one with their really cool sound. Taggy Tones 'Blitzkrieg Bop' have a wonderful 50's style on their version. Dusty Gray's Cocksparrer song has also been done 'Fifties' and Teenage Kicks (Undertones) with Dynamo's Rhytm Ages is also cool. Nirvana's 'Smells like Teen Spirit' isn't bad at all by The Lucky Devils - he almost sings like Kurt. Peace Brothers good Elvis sounding version of 'Anarchy in the UK' isn't bad, either. Adam and the Ants song 'Goody two shoes' is very good in a swing version and the whole record was a funny idea.
